History
Reppen was historically part of Bindal Gold Project consisting of three properties - Kolsvik, Reppen and Finnlifjellet. Gold at these properties was discovered more than 100 years ago.
Historic resource
Based on the drill campaign conducted in 1980-ies, the geologic resource for the Reppen property was estimated between 0.8-1m tonnes, at Au grade of 5-7 g/t.
Infrastructure
By land, Reppen is accessible via Urvollveien road, which ends about 1.7 km from the license. The nearest railway station Majavatn is 32 km away. The license is also accessible by water through the Bindalsfrojden fjord, but there is no harbor nearby. The deposit is located 100 km from Bronnoysund and 130 km from Namsos sea ports.
Exploration works done
Area has been focussing of several exploration programs (Boliden, Falconbridge, Terra Mining, Norwegian geological survey). Activities conducted during 1980-ies – surface sampling, geological mapping, magnetic survey, 500 m core drilling (5 drill holes).
Notable gold projects in the northern part of Scandinavia: Bidjovagge, Katterat, Burfjord, Kolsvik (Norway), Barsele, Pahtohavare, Skelleftea, (Sweden), Nutukka, Kuotko, Ikkari, Pahtavaara (Finland).
